Thrashers trade with Ducks, sign Chelios
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Anaheim Ducks have acquired defenceman Nathan Oystrick from the Atlanta Thrashers, along with a conditional pick in the 2011 draft, in exchange for right wing Evgeny Artyukhin.
Oystrick has played the entire 2009-10 season with Atlanta's minor-league affiliate, the AHL's Chicago Wolves, earning 23 points in 41 games.
Oystrick earned 12 points in 53 games with Atlanta after making his NHL debut with the Thrashers in 2008.
Artyukhin had nine points in 37 games for the Ducks this season.
Meanwhile, the Thrashers have signed Chris Chelios, who played with the Wolves.
