Maria Kirilenko is a Russian professional tennis player. She is currently ranked No. 63 in the world, but has been as high as No. 18. As remarkable as those rankings are, neither are as impressive as her placing on sportsnet.ca's Hottest Female Athlete poll.
Since winning her first WTA Tour title in 2005 at the China Open, Kirilenko has added four more singles titles. She's also won six doubles titles on the Tour, winning her first with No. 6 HFA, Maria Sharapova, in 2004 at the DFS Classic.
Top spot on our list is not the only major title Maria is still chasing: She has yet to count a Grand Slam victory among her singles accomplishments, with a fourth-round appearance at the 2008 Australian Open being her best showing.
