Yes, Brock Lesnar makes his UFC debut Saturday night. But there are eight other fights and RJ makes his predictions.
Brock Lesnar VS. Frank Mir - Mir submission. I believe Frank Mir is back and focused again after his accident. Take nothing away from Lesnar but Mir's experience will be a major advantage.
Minotauro Nogueira VS. Tim Sylvia - Sylvia decision. Sylvia is the former champ and gets no respect...it might not be exciting but he will be good enough to regain the interim title.
Ricardo Almeida VS. Rob Yundt - Almeida submission. You have to respect Yundt for putting his undefeated record on the line with only three days notice but that short preparation time will be his downfall in this fight.
Jeremy Horn VS. Nate Marquardt - Marquardt TKO. I bought into the hype about how good Marquardt was when he was getting set to fight Anderson Silva for the title. Of course he lost but so does everyone else against Silva. Marquardt has another chance now to prove how good he is.
Chris Lytle VS. Kyle Bradley - Lytle decision. Lytle's experience will be the difference.
Gleison Tibau VS. Tyson Griffin - Griffin decision. Griffin is one of the most exciting fighters in MMA. He is riding a two-fight winning streak and has a 10-1 record, although that loss came in February of last year so he has to rid himself of the February jinx.
Marvin Eastman VS. Terry Martin - Martin TKO. These two were put together to create some fireworks so it won't go the distance. I predict Martin lands the last shot.
Keita Nakamura VS. Rob Emerson - Nakamura decision. Nakamura is dropping to 155 which will suit him better. Emerson was a guy with so much potential during TUF 5 but couldn't get a win. Not much will change on Saturday.
David Heath VS. Tim Boetsch - Heath TKO. Boetsch is taking the fight on short notice. Heath will be somewhat of a fan favourite after being intentionally put to sleep by Babalu in his last fight. Heath's fists will do the putting to sleep this time.
