UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn's camp has filed a formal complaint with the Nevada State Athletic Commission after his loss to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 94 according to foxsports.com.
The report states that the complaint is in regards to St-Pierre's cornerman allegedly applying Vaseline to his back in between rounds.
According to UFC President Dana White, the commission was "flipping out," as they noticed one of St-Pierre's cornermen rubbing Vaseline on his back in between rounds.
"The guys from the athletic commission went up there and started screaming at them. Knocked the Vaseline and kicked the Vaseline out of the Octagon," White said. "Some Vaseline on a guy's back didn't change the outcome of that fight, but you don't do it."
The complaint likely will have zero impact on the St-Pierre victory, but the corner person that committed the violation could face disciplinary action.
