Fighters Only Magazine is reporting that Canada's David Loiseau, Japan's Ryo Chonan and Sweden's David Bielkheden have been cut loose by the UFC.

The three fighters join Jason MacDonald and Vinny Magalhaes on the list of UFC 97 casualties.

Loiseau, from Montreal, is coming off a listliss loss to Ed Herman in front of his hometown fans at the Bell Centre on April 18. It marked the return to the Octagon for the first time since September 2006 for The Crow, but he was thoroughly outdueled by unanimous decision.

In the post-event news conference, UFC president Dana White was blunt when asked whether Loiseau was likely to be released following the performance.

"He looked old tonight," White said of the 29-year-old. "He couldn't get off. His timing wasn't there.''

Loiseau's overall record in the UFC is now at 4-4, but he dropped his past three in the organization.
