Fighters Only Magazine is reporting that Thales Leites will be making his return to the Octagon vs. Alessio Sakara at UFC 101.
Leites will be replacing fellow Brazilian Rousimar Palhares, who broke his tibia late last week. The event is expected to take place on Aug. 8 in Philadelphia.
At UFC 97, Leites put on a sub-standard performance against Anderson Silva, so look for him to pressure Sakara in this bout as another poor performance could land him in hot water with the UFC brass.
My money is on Leites returning to old form, similar to his fight against Drew McFederies.
