TORONTO -- The UFC is going Down Under, the mixed martial arts organization confirmed Wednesday.

UFC 110 is scheduled for Feb. 21 at the Acer Arena in Sydney.

Fights for the card have not yet been announced but the show is expected to feature a matchup between Wanderlei (The Axe Murderer) Silva and English middleweight Michael (The Count) Bisping.

"The Aussies love their sport so, when we first bought the UFC nine years ago, we knew Australia was one of the places we needed to get to with live fights," UFC president Dana White said in a statement. "It's taken us a long time to get there, but we're now on our way and we're coming with a card featuring some of the greatest fighters in the world."

BEANTOWN BOUND: Massachusetts has become the 42nd state in the U.S. to regulate MMA thanks to a bill passed in the state legislature that allows the Department of Public Safety to oversee regulation of the sport.

The UFC said it could hold its first fight card in Massachusetts as early as next summer, with Fenway Park cited as a possible venue.

"I am so pumped that the UFC is finally coming to Massachusetts," said White, who grew up in Boston. "I guarantee that we will put on an incredible UFC event for Boston in 2010."

New York and Ontario are the UFC's next two priorities to get the sport sanctioned.
