Kimbo Slice, right, is coming off a win over Houston Alexander in December.

Kimbo Slice will fight The Ultimate Fighter castmate Matt Mitrione at the UFC's April show in Montreal, the organization officially confirmed on Monday night.

The internet streetfighter turned mixed martial artist will meet Mitrione, a former NFL lineman who was featured along with Slice during Season 10 of the TUF reality show, in a heavyweight bout at UFC 113 on May 8 at the Bell Centre.

The matchup was unofficially announced at a UFC press conference last month. But there had been rumours he may instead take on pro boxer James Toney, who recently signed with the UFC, after it was yet to appear on the promotion's online fight card. The bout was added to the UFC 113 main card on the website late Monday.

The event is headlined by a rematch between light-heavyweight champion Lyoto (The Dragon) Machida and Mauricio (Shogun) Rua. Machida won their first meeting by controversial decision.

Slice (4-1) is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Houston (The Assassin) Alexander at the finale of The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights on Dec. 5. Mitrione (1-0) knocked out Marcus Jones at the event.
