Former UFC welterweight champion Matt (The Terror) Serra will take on local favourite Chris (Lights Out) Lytle at UFC 119 in Indianapolis on Sept. 25.

The bout is a rematch of the finale of Season 4 of "The Ultimate Fighter," when Serra won by split decision.

The UFC also confirmed the main and co-main events at the Conseco Field House.

The marquee bout features former heavyweight champion Frank Mir and former interim title-holder Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Mir won by second-round TKO when the two first met at UFC 92 in December 2008, but Nogueira was less than 100 per cent going into that bout.

"Ever since Frank Mir beat Nogueira for the heavyweight title in 2008, Minotauro has asked me for this rematch because he wants to prove that the first fight was a fluke," UFC president Dana White said in a statement Monday. "On Sept. 25, he gets his wish, and I don't think there's any fighter more motivated than he is to even the score.

"As for Frank Mir, he wants to get back in the title picture, and if I know him, he was the first man to knock Nogueira out at UFC 92, and now he'll want to be the first man to make him tap out."

Mir (13-5) is looking to rebound from a knockout loss to Shane Carwin at UFC 111 in March. Nogueira was KO'd by Cain Velasquez last time out, at UFC 110 in February.

The UFC 119 co-main event features Nogueira's twin brother Antonio Rogerio Nogueira against light-heavyweight Ryan (Darth) Bader.

Bader (12-0) won Season 8 of "The Ultimate Fighter" and upped his record to 4-0 in the Octagon by knocking out Keith (The Dean of Mean) Jardine at UFC 110.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (19-3) impressed in his UFC debut with a knockout win over Luiz Cane but struggled to earn a split-decision victory over Jason Brilz at UFC 114 in May.

Lytle (39-17-4) has won three straight, most recently submitting Matt (The Immortal) Brown at UFC 116. The 35-year-old is an Indianapolis firefighter when not fighting.

Serra (17-6) is coming off a first-round win over Frank Trigg at UFC 109.
