Fresh off a win Friday in his home town, Edmonton's Tim Hague has signed a new 6-fight deal with Aggression MMA.
Hague, who was released from the UFC for the second time following a loss by decision to Joey Beltran in Montreal in May, defeated former UFC fighter Travis Wiuff by knockout due to strikes at 1:50 of the first round at Aggression MMA 5. It was his second straight dominant -- and swift -- victory in the organization. He knocked out former Ultimate Fighter cast member Zak Jensen with a knee 2:11 into his fight at Aggression MMA 4 in July.
Hague said he still hopes to be called back to the Octagon and believes he's done well so far in that cause. His contract allows for that contingency and will just be put on hold in the event he is able to sign a contract with the UFC.
In the meantime, his next fight will be at Aggression's next show on Dec. 4.
NOTES: The sister organization to the Edmonton-based MFC announced its upcoming Heat XC 6: Bragging Rights card will take place on Oct. 15 at the Mayfield Inn Trade & Conference Centre in Edmonton. It will be headlined by a matchup between Jason (The Kansas City Bandit) High, who trains alongside MFC lightweight champion Antonio McKee, and an unbeaten Keto Allen … Former UFC fighter Jonathan (The Road Warrior) Goulet will fight Chris (The Menace) Clements for the Ringside MMA welterweight title on Nov. 13 at the Centre Pierre-Charbonneau in Montreal. The card for Ringside 9: Payback will also see 31-year-old professional boxer Patrick Tessier make his pro MMA debut against Jason Saggo.
