Canadian welterweight prospect Rory (The Waterboy) MacDonald has been forced to withdraw from his preliminary bout vs. Matt (The Immortal) Brown at UFC 123: Rampage vs. Machida.

Sources close to the situation stated MacDonald (10-1), suffered an injury during training, and will have to undergo knee surgery on Oct. 14. The early prognosis is that McDonald will only be out for a few weeks, but no concrete timeframe has been given for his return to the octagon. According to MMAJunkie.com, MacDonald will be replaced by Brian Foster.
