It appears as though Brendan "The Hybrid" Schaub's request to take on Frank Mir will have to wait. A source has confirmed that the UFC has decided to replace Mir with Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic.
This bout has not been made official by the organization but it looks as though the two stud heavyweights will tangle on UFC's Mar. 3 free television show.
Schaub is coming off a unanimous judges' decision victory over Garbiel "Nepao" Gonzaga on Oct. 23.

Should this change take effect, it would further lead to the ongoing speculation that Mir will oppose Brock Lesnar as a coach on the next Ultimate Fighter.
