It didn't take long for the UFC to find a replacement for James "Lighting" Wilks.

Sportsnet has learned that Wilks has been replaced by Nate Diaz, who will now face off against "The Waterboy", Rory MacDonald at UFC 129 in Toronto.

Diaz (13-6) is coming off a disappointing loss to Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 125. Kim beat Diaz by unanimous decision.

Diaz will provide a stern test for MacDonald (10-1), who will be returning to the Octagon for the first time since the first defeat of his professional career, a TKO loss to Carlos Condit suffered at UFC 115 in June of 2010.
