Bellator returns to Canada on Nov. 12

CHICAGO -- Bellator Fighting Championships is returning to Canada, with Bellator 57 set for Nov. 12 at Casino Rama at Rama, Ont.
The mixed martial arts show will feature the final of Bellator's Season 5 welterweight tournament, with the winner earning US$100,000 and a shot at the Bellator 170-pound title.
On the same card, Bellator women's champion Zoila (The Warrior Princess) Gurgel takes on Brazilian submission specialist Carina Damm in a non-title affair.
Gurgel is married to former UFC fighter Jorge Gurgel.
Damm, who is married to Bellator Season 5 welterweight Luis (Sapo) Santos, could get to see her husband fight in the tournament championship that night if Santos gets by Ben Saunders at Bellator 53 on Oct. 8 in Miami, Okla.
In the other Bellator 53 decider, (The Cleveland Assassin) Chris Lozano takes on Douglas Lima with the winner advancing to Bellator 57.
Also in Rama, Halifax's Roger (The Hulk) Hollett will make his Bellator debut against Ohio light-heavyweight John Hawk.
Bellator 47, held July 23 in Rama, marked the promotion's first foray into Canada.
