Just because UFC officials are currently in Brazil for UFC 142 it doesn't mean they have stopped planning future events for a busy 2012 schedule.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the organization's next trip to Brazil will be in Sao Paulo sometime in June, and it will likely take place in a stadium, according to MMAJunkie.com.
The city's largest stadium is undergoing renovations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but there are other options still available. A Brazilian stadium show could potentially break the UFC attendance record of 55,724 that was set at UFC 129 in Toronto's Rogers Centre on April 30, 2011.
The UFC is also targeting May 5 for the organization's third UFC on Fox show. The company's first venture onto network television was a one-hour special on Nov. 12 that featured a heavyweight title bout that saw Junior dos Santos defeat Cain Velasquez. The second Fox show is scheduled for Jan. 28 and is headlined by a light-heavyweight contender's bout between Rashad Evans and Phil Davis.
In other UFC news, the organization's first event in Sweden (UFC on Fuel TV 2 on April 14) sold out in three hours. That event will be headlined by Sweden's Alexander Gustafsson taking on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
