Bellator Fighting Championships announced Wednesday that it will make its third trip to Casino Rama in Orillia, Ont., on May 4.
No fights have been announced for Bellator 67, but Edmonton fighter Ryan (The Real Deal) Ford told sportsnet.ca he’ll be making his debut on that card.
The venue held two Bellator shows last year, making its Canadian debut to a sold-out crowd in July and returning in November to see welterweight Douglas Lima and middleweight Alexander Shlemenko win their respective tournaments.
“Casino Rama has been a spectacular home for Bellator throughout 2011, so returning to this majestic jewel of a resort/casino was a very easy decision to make,” Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney said in a release.
The event comes one month after the Chicago-based organization’s return to Canada, when Bellator 64 will take place at Caesars Windsor on April 6. London, Ont.’s Chris Horodecki, who competed on both previous shows at Casino Rama, will take on Mike Richman in his first fight in Windsor.
The promotion said more information on the fight card will be announced shortly.
