The UFC returns to the Land of the Rising Sun for the first time in 11 years this week, and Sportsnet will provide you plenty of coverage leading into Saturday’s UFC 144 in Japan.

UFC CENTRAL’s (Showdown) Joe Ferraro is in Tokyo all week and will be writing a daily blog as well as some feature stories on the fight card, which is headlined by the lightweight championship bout between Frankie Edgar and Benson Henderson.

SPORTSNET.CA will have live streams of the press conferences and weigh-ins, starting with Thursday’s pre-fight press conference in Tokyo. With the 14-hour time difference, the press conference will be streamed live in North America on Wednesday night at 11 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. PT.

The weigh-ins, which will take place Saturday morning in Japan, will also be streamed live at 11 p.m. ET on Friday night.

On Saturday, tune in to Sportsnet (all regional channels) at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT to watch two hours of live preliminary fights, before the four-hour, seven-fight pay-per-view begins in at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT, followed by a live stream of the post-fight press conference at about 2 a.m. ET / 11 p.m. PT.
