Bellator MMA has acquired two of the most iconic voices in combat sports history, signing Mike Goldberg and Mauro Ranallo to multi-event broadcast agreements Tuesday.
Goldberg spent nearly 20 years calling fights for the UFC. December’s UFC 207 was his final event with the promotion as new ownership decided to take their broadcasts in a different direction.

Meanwhile, Ranallo also has a rich history in mixed martial arts, commentating in promotions such as Pride Fighting Championships, Strikeforce, Elite XC and Invicta Fighting Championships. In recent years the Canadian has worked for Showtime Championship Boxing, Glory Kickboxing and WWE Smackdown. Ranallo has previously worked with Bellator president Scott Coker when Coker ran Strikeforce.
The two men will debut at Bellator’s anticipated June 24 pay-per-view event at Madison Square Garden.
“Mike Goldberg and Mauro Ranallo are two of the best in our business and I couldn’t be happier about them joining the Bellator family,” Coker said in a press release. “In addition to June 24, we look forward to working together to make future Spike broadcasts even more exciting for our fans as we add further depth to an already-exceptional broadcast team.”
