Ben Affleck seen here in a scene from "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" says he was inspired by UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

Ben Affleck says his version of Batman will fight like UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice debuts in theatres Friday and the DC Comics blockbuster is expected to feature a plethora of fight scenes.

“He’s like a little bit more of a brawler, he’s more physical,” Affleck said of his character in a recent Reuters interview. “You kind of get a feeling of like physical, visceral, slugger thing. So the fights are more smash mouth kind of UFC influenced like Conor McGregor style.”

(That sound you hear is McGregor’s ego getting even bigger)

McGregor doesn’t have any affiliation with the movie, but he’s not the first UFC fighter to have a connection to a super hero movie.

Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre had a role in Marvel’s 2014 film Captain America: The Winter Soldier. St-Pierre played Batroc the Leaper and was in a memorable fight scene with Chris Evans. St-Pierre even helped advise the fight choreographer during the filming of the scene.
