Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has been pulled from an upcoming UFC Fight Night event in Winnipeg due to a potential doping violation.

The UFC announced in a press release Thursday the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) notified them of Nogueira’s possible violation.

Nogueira’s failed test stemmed from an out-of-competition drug screening that took place Sept. 27, according to USADA. It’s unclear at this time what substances the Brazilian might have popped for.

The 41-year-old was scheduled to fight rising light-heavyweight contender Jared Cannonier when the UFC returns to Manitoba on Dec. 16. That fight has been pulled from the card but the UFC is in the process of finding Cannonier a replacement opponent.

Nogueira holds notable wins over Dan Henderson, Alistair Overeem, Kazushi Sakuraba plus former UFC champions Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz.
