Did Pacquaio just challenge McGregor to a boxing match?

It has been almost five months since Manny Pacquiao last stepped into the ring, and it looks like he’s ready to size up his next opponent: Conor McGregor.

The 38-year-old welterweight boxer tweeted at McGregor in what appears to be a public challenge for the MMA star to prepare for his second career boxing bout—a “real” one, according to those hashtags.

McGregor, 29, stepped away from the octagon and dove into the boxing world in August when he exchanged punches with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in what was a hotly-anticipated fight that he ultimately lost.

McGregor’s future in the MMA remains unclear after he told reporters earlier this month that he wants to reach a co-promotion agreement and/or an ownership stake in the UFC—or he won’t fight at all.
