Miesha “Cupcake” Tate will put her freshly minted UFC Women’s Bantamweight belt on the line on Saturday when she battles Amanda Nunes as a heavy -250 betting favourite at UFC 200 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Tate has shown steady improvement since launching her UFC career with a pair of third-round losses to Cat Zingano and Ronda Rousey.

The champion followed up with four straight decisions before stunning Holly Holm with a fifth-round submission at UFC 196 to claim the Women’s Bantamweight title as a +230 underdog, improving her overall MMA record to 18-5 ahead of Saturday night’s Tate vs. Nunes matchup at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Nunes enters the Octagon for her first title shot as a distant +195 underdog on the UFC 200 odds.

However, the 28-year-old Brazilian has impressed since joining the UFC three years ago, winning five of her six fights including four first-round victories, but needed a unanimous decision to pick up the win against Valentina Shevchenko in her last outing at UFC 196, paying out as -165 chalk.

UPDATE: Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones has been cancelled

In other UFC 200 betting action, another long-time rivalry will be rekindled when Frankie Edgar takes on Jose Aldo for the interim UFC Featherweight championship, and a chance to face reigning champion Connor McGregor. The matchup is pegged as a virtual pick ’em at the sportsbooks.

Edgar, who sits at -125 ahead of Saturday’s fight, dropped a unanimous decision to Aldo at UFC 156 but is undefeated in five fights since then, while Aldo enters the Octagon sporting -105 odds.

And finally, Brock Lesnar will make his return to the UFC on Saturday as a +140 underdog, taking on Heavyweight Mark Hunt, who has climbed to -170 chalk for the UFC 200 bout.
