Rising bantamweight contender Mitch Gagnon of Sudbury, Ont., is set to fight unbeaten Aljamain Sterling in a battle of talented 135-pounders.

Gagnon (11-2) has won three straight in the UFC, submitting Walel Watson and Dustin Kimura at UFC 152 and UFC 165, respectively, and recently earning a unanimous decision over Tim Gorman at the TUF Nations Finale in Quebec City in April.

Sterling (10-0) is a teammate of middleweight champion Chris Weidman and has compiled a 2-0 record in the UFC with wins over Cody Gibson and Hugo Viana.
