Canadians Sam Stout and Sean Pierson were added to the UFC 161 event in Winnipeg that takes place on June 15 at the MTS Centre, the UFC confirmed.

Stout (19-8-1) will fight Isaac Vallie-Flagg in a lightweight bout. Stout is coming off a split decision win over Caros Fodor at UFC 157, while Vallie-Flagg beat Yves Edwards at UFC 156, also by split decision.

Pierson (13-6) faces T.J. Waldburger in a 170-pound contest. Pierson won a unanimous decision over Lance Benoist at UFC 152 despite suffering a concussion in the third round of that bout. Waldburger picked up a submission win in his last outing against Nick Catone in December.

UFC 161 is headlined by an interim bantamweight title fight between Renan Barao and Eddie Wineland. Manitoba’s first UFC event also features two high profile light-heavyweight tilts, Rashad Evans vs. Dan Henderson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Mauricio Rua, two heavyweight scraps, Pat Barry vs. Shawn Jordan and Stipe Miocic vs. Soa Palelei, plus a welterweight fight between Jake Shields and Tyron Woodley.

In other UFC news:

Strikeforce veterans Roger Gracie and Tim Kennedy will make their UFC debuts against one another at UFC 162 in a middleweight bout. Also at that event, middleweights Tim Boetsch and Mark Munoz will fight.

Also, bantamweights Erik Perez and Johnny Bedford will square off at UFC 159 on April 27.
