Prindle injured, bout vs. Rogers off Bellator 93

Eric Prindle. (Bellator MMA)

An injury has knocked heavyweight Eric Prindle out of a bout with Brett Rogers set for Thursday’s Bellator 93.

The organization announced the news on Wednesday. No replacement will be made for Rogers and the event, which takes place at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston, Maine, will continue with just three bouts on the main card.

The former No. 1 contender Prindle, who last year lost a title fight to Cole Konrad, was hoping to snap a two-fight skid.

Meanwhile, Rogers was looking to rebound from a disappointing loss to Alexander Volkov in the first round of the Season 7 heavyweight tournament.
