TUF Nations finalist Sheldon Westcott will make his official UFC debut on August 23 in Macau.

The 29-year-old of St. Albert, Alta., who sports 8-2-1 pro record, will fight undefeated Brazilian Alberto Mina, Sportsnet has confirmed. The fight will be contested at 170 pounds.

The event takes place at the CotaiArena and is headlined by middleweight stars Michael Bisping and Cung Le. A marquee welterweight tilt between Tyron Woodley and Dong Hyun Kim is also featured.

Westcott, a natural welterweight, stormed through Vik Grujic and four-time Olympic judoka Dan Kelly in the TUF Nations middleweight tournament before falling short in the finals against Elias Theodorou on April 16 in Quebec City.

Five of Westcott’s eight pro wins have come within the first minute of the first round, while Mina has finished all 10 of his opponents.
