CALGARY -- Josh Sanderson added to his NLL scoring lead with three goals and three assists to lead the Calgary Roughnecks to a 13-8 victory over the Edmonton Rush Friday night.

Calgary, which had been on a three-game skid, won for the first time since its season opener bringing Edmonton's franchise record three-game winning streak to a halt.

Tracey Kelusky, Jeff Shattler and Scott Ranger each scored twice for Calgary (2-3). Also scoring were Mike Carnegie, Dane Dobbie and Curtis Manning

Ryan Powell, Ryan Ward and Gavin Prout each scored twice to lead the way for Edmonton (3-2). Scott Stewart and Dean Hill also scored.

Calgary seized control of the game with a dominant second quarter scoring five unanswered goals to take an 8-2 lead to halftime.

Ranger got things started at 3:33 curling out from behind the net, retrieving his own rebound after his initial shot was stopped, and patiently outwaiting goaltender Matt Disher before tucking in his second of the night.

Leading 5-2, the crippling blow for Edmonton was two shorthanded goals 59 seconds apart from Kelusky and Shattler.

With the Roughnecks defending a 5-on-3, Kelusky fended off the slashing and whacking of defenceman Ian Crashley and bowled his way backwards towards the edge of the Edmonton crease where he suddenly jumped, spun, and zipped a shot inside the far goal post at 9:09.

Shattler's effort was equally creative winding his way through traffic to the front of the net where, while also facing the wrong direction, he looked one way and sent a shot behind his back in the other direction.

Conn completed the dazzling offensive display at 13:52 diving to neatly knock in a Josh Sanderson rebound.

Trailing 9-4 to start the fourth quarter, the feisty visitors showed that the were not going to go down quietly, getting into three fights in the final 12 minutes.

In the middle scrap, which came less than three minutes after Edmonton's Derek Suddons exchanged blows with Jeff Moleski, Brodie Merrill got in several clean punches in bloodying the face of Calgary defenceman Mike Kilby.

Sanderson completed his hat-trick with a power play goal at 2:34 of the fourth quarter.
