IBF hearing set for judge interference

LONDON -- The man accused of interfering with judges during Amir Khan's loss to Lamont Peterson in a controversial light-welterweight title fight will explain his actions at an IBF hearing next week.
The governing body says Mustafa Ameen has links with the IBF because he does voluntary work with their program for retired fighters. But he had no business being at ringside for the Dec. 10 fight in Washington.
Khan launched an appeal into his defeat on a split decision, raising concerns about Ameen's role during the fight after footage showed him distracting judges and leaning over WBA supervisor Michael Welsh.
An IBF statement says "Mr Ameen will be present at the hearing to explain his actions and what transpired during the bout between him and Mr Welsh."
