DORTMUND, Germany — Eight Borussia Dortmund fans who displayed neo-Nazi banners during a game have been banned from attending Sunday’s Bundesliga match at Bayer Leverkusen.
Dortmund says in a statement that Leverkusen agreed to deny access to the fans, who unfurled right-wing symbols and banners — including an imperial war flag — during a game played by its second team in Erfurt on Sept. 1.
Werder Bremen had already banned the fans from attending Dortmund’s visit in the first league game after the winter break.
Dortmund thanked Leverkusen and Bremen for their co-operation.
