LONDON — Tony Bellew will fight David Haye on Dec. 17 in London in a rematch of their all-British heavyweight encounter in March that was won by Bellew.

Bellew stepped up a weight to beat Haye, a world heavyweight champion from 2009-11, in a fight that ended in the 11th round. Haye fought the last five rounds with a ruptured Achilles tendon.

"I will end David Haye’s career," said Bellew, a former world cruiserweight champion. "Another loss to me closes the curtain on the Hayemaker."

The 36-year-old Haye has recovered after seven months of rehabilitation and has changed trainer, with Ismael Salas taking over from Shane McGuigan.

"He somehow won the lottery in our first fight," Haye said, "but believe me, he won’t win the lottery twice."
