LAUSANNE, Switzerland — Olympic leaders held a summit meeting on doping and match-fixing but declined to give any details of the discussions.

IOC President Jacques Rogge chaired Tuesday’s session, which was attended by the four vice-presidents of the IOC and leaders of international sports federations, national Olympic committees and other key groups.

One of the key topics was the role of the World Anti-Doping Agency. Some sports federations requested the meeting in February following public spats between WADA and the International Cycling Union over the Lance Armstrong doping case.

Rogge and IOC presidential candidates Thomas Bach, Ng Ser Miang and C.K. Wu were among delegates who declined comment after talks held at the Olympic body’s headquarters.

IOC spokesman Mark Adams declined to give details on the talks. He says delegates were promised freedom to express their opinions in private and were asked not to speak to the media.

UCI President Pat McQuaid and his predecessor Hein Verbruggen attended, though no WADA representative was present or invited.
