There’s nothing in sport like doubles luge: Two men in spandex suits lie on top of each other — both face up — and whip down an icy chute at upwards of 140 km/h. And now, you can own a piece of the magic.
The Olympic-bound Canadian Luge team announced this week it is ‘For Sale,’ in search of a corporate partner ahead of the 2014 Sochi Winter Games.
So, why should you pony up to buy the Canadian lugers? Sportsnet asked that same question of veteran Sam Edney, whose fifth place at the 2012 worlds is the best-ever finish by a Canadian man. Edney came back with 10 compelling reasons. Here they are:
