Ring pulled from UFC 154 card by doctors

Saturday night’s fight between Nick Ring and Constantinos Philippou at UFC 154 has been called off by doctors.

Officials said on Saturday morning that Ring, who lives in Calgary, was battling a disturbingly high fever, and as a result could not be cleared by doctors to compete at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Rafael dos Anjos vs. Mark Bocek has been moved to the main card as a replacement. Bocek fights out of Woodbridge, Ont. The early preliminary bout between Oshawa’s Antonio Carvalho and Rodrigo Damm has been moved to the televised prelims.
