Earlier this week, former Strikeforce women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate responded to comments from UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre that he wasn’t a fan of women’s MMA.

After St-Pierre was quoted as saying he’s “old school” and has “a hard time watching girls fight,” Tate posted a blog entry on her website in which she called the Montrealer “closed minded” and suggested he hasn’t watched enough, if any, of women’s MMA to really form an educated opinion.

“I think the problem with GSP’s view about WMMA is that he doesn’t have one,” Tate wrote. “If he hasn’t ever watched us women fight then he can’t say how he really feels about it because he’s ignorant.”
