BAD GASTEIN, Austria — Slovenian snowboarder Zan Kosir won a World Cup parallel slalom for his second career victory, while Ester Ledecka of the Czech Repubic took the women’s race on Friday.
Olympic silver medallist Kosir, who also won the event last year, beat Christoph Mick of Italy by 0.23 second in the final. Patrick Bussler of Germany defeated Andrey Sobolev to take third.
Kosir led the standings with 1,800 points, 440 clear of Roland Fischnaller of Italy.
Ledecka was 0.62 faster than Patrizia Kummer of Switzerland in the women’s final, while Julie Zogg of Switzerland defeated Selina Joerg of Germany in the small final.
Sabine Schoeffmann of Austria remained top of the standings with 1,090 points, followed by Ledecka on 1,000, and Kummer on 980.
A parallel slalom team event was scheduled for Saturday.
