MOLSON CANADIAN LEAFS HOCKEY RETURNS TO ROGERS SPORTSNET WITH 29 GAMES
Sportsnet broadcasts more Leafs games than any other network, all in high definition
TORONTO (September 1, 2010) – Rogers Sportsnet Ontario continues to be “The Official Broadcaster of the Toronto Maple Leafs” with 29 regular-season games, more than any other channel.
"Sportsnet has become the destination for Toronto Maple Leafs viewers and we are pleased to broadcast more Leafs games than any other Canadian broadcaster," said Doug Beeforth, President, Rogers Sportsnet. "We will continue to provide unprecedented coverage of the team with our Hockeycentral Leafs Edition pre-game show and post-game analysis on Connected and Hockeycentral Tonight."
In addition to the 29 regular season games, Sportsnet Ontario will broadcast one pre-season game featuring the Coca-Cola Zero™ Fans First Game, a free game for fans to attend at the Air Canada Centre, with Toronto hosting the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday, September 21 at 7 p.m. (ET).
Sportsnet Ontario’s Molson Canadian Leafs Hockey broadcast schedule features all 29-regular season games in high definition, including several key match-ups such as:
• Battle of Ontario – Leafs and Sens re-new their rivalry on Tuesday, November 2 at 7 p.m. (ET)
• QEW clash – Leafs battle their border cousin Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday, March 29 at 7 p.m. (ET)
• Les Habitants – Montreal Canadiens host the Buds on Thursday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. (ET)
• Ovie x 2 – Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals host the Leafs on Monday, December 6 at 6:30 p.m. (ET) and return for a visit at the ACC on Tuesday, April 5 at 7 p.m. (ET)
• Leafs face Hall – Leafs drop in on star rookie Taylor Hall and the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, December 14 at 9 p.m. (ET)
