Sportsnet will also feature the Seattle Seahawks hosting the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, September 26 at 4 p.m. (ET)/2 p.m. (MT) on Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet Ontario HD, Sportsnet West and Sportsnet West HD.
Sportsnet Connected weekend anchor and football reporter Jim Lang will provide updates and highlights of all the day’s action during the broadcast.
Throughout each week, Sportsnet Connected has expert NFL analysis of key match-ups featuring former Pro Bowl safety Rod Woodson, former NFL lineman Jamie Dukes and former NFL defensive back Charles Davis. Woodson, Dukes and Davis are all analysts for the NFL Network.
The Colts (1-1) suffered a shocking 34-24 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 1 but rebounded last week with a 38-14 win over the New York Giants. The game featured four-time league MVP Peyton Manning out-dueling his kid brother, Giants pivot Eli Manning. The victorious Manning threw for three touchdowns and 255 yards. Denver (1-1) is coming off a 31-14 win over Seattle last weekend. The Broncos won their 11th straight home opener and improved to 24-3 in home openers since 1984, the best mark in major professional sports during that span. Denver rookie wide receiver Demaryias Thomas had a smashing debut with eight catches for 97 yards and one touchdown. Thomas, who missed all of the preseason and last week's opener, was drafted 22nd-overall in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Seattle (1-1) currently sits first in the NFC West despite their loss to Denver. Following the game, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll announced linebacker Leroy Hill will miss several games due to an injury to his right Achilles' tendon. San Diego (1-1) pounded the Jacksonville Jaguars 38-13 in last week’s contest. The Chargers defence forced six turnovers in the rout, including picking off Jaguars QB David Garrard with four interceptions. San Diego QB Philip Rivers had a great day in the air with 334 yard passing and three touchdowns. The Chargers have won five in a row against NFC opponents.
