SPORTSNET HEADLINES BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE ACTION WITH CHELSEA FACING BIRMINGHAM

Sportsnet will also have Liverpool vs. West Ham match-up

TORONTO (November 18, 2010) – Defending champion Chelsea look to keep their first-place lead in the Barclays Premier League when they host Birmingham on Saturday, November 20 at 9:30 a.m. (ET)/6:30 a.m. (PT) on the Rogers Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels.

Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest will host SoccerCentral to preview the match-up followed by the match at 10 a.m. (ET)/7 a.m. (PT).

Sportsnet will have more soccer action later in the day with Liverpool vs. West Ham at 12 p.m. (ET)/9 a.m. (PT) on Sportsnet ONE. SoccerCentral will follow the game with the post-game show at 2:30 p.m. (ET)/11:30 a.m. (PT). Rogers Sportsnet ONE, a new 24-hour national sports channel, broadcasts a live Barclays Premier League match every Saturday at 12 p.m. (ET) while the Rogers Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels has a live match at 10 a.m. (ET) each Saturday.

Chelsea fell to Sunderland 3-0 last weekend. Chelsea remains first in the league with 28 points but holds just a two-point advantage over second-place Arsenal. Birmingham is coming off a scoreless tie against Manchester City on Saturday. Birmingham went 0-1-1 against Chelsea last season and sit 18th in the league.

Liverpool fell 2-0 to Stoke City on the weekend and is winless in their last two games. Liverpool went unbeaten against West Ham last season. West Ham has scored three draws in their past three games but remain in the league’s basement.
