UNDEFEATED MANCHESTER UNITED HIGHLIGHTS BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE ACTION ON SPORTSNET THIS WEEK
This week's schedule will also include Manchester City matches on Wednesday and Saturday
TORONTO (February 1, 2011) – First place Manchester United take their undefeated record to the pitch when they take on Wolverhampton on Saturday, February 5 at 12 p.m. (ET)/9 a.m. (PT) on Rogers Sportsnet ONE.
Third place Manchester City will be in action twice this week, they battle Birmingham on Wednesday, February 2 at 2:30 p.m. (ET)/11:30 a.m. (PT) on the Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels. They will then be entertaining West Brom on Saturday, February 5 at 10:00 a.m. (ET)/7 a.m. (PT) on the Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels.
Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest will host SoccerCentral on Saturday, February 5 to preview the weekend match-ups starting at 9:30 a.m. (ET)/6:30 a.m. (PT) followed by a post-game show on ONE at 2:30 p.m. (ET)/11:30 a.m. (PT).
Manchester United are currently in first place with 51 points and are the only team who have yet to suffer a defeat all season. Wolverhampton is on the other end of the table, tied with West Ham at the bottom of the standings with 21 points.
Manchester City fell into third place after their 1-0 loss to Aston Villa on January 22. They trail second place Arsenal by one point and first place Manchester United by six. Both of Manchester City’s opponents this week are at risk of being relegated to the lower division next season. Birmingham are in 17th place in the standings just one point ahead of the final relegation spot meanwhile West Brom are only three points ahead of that final spot.
