TOP SCORER TOFFOLI AND THE 67’S HOST PETES IN OHL ACTION THIS FRIDAY ON SPORTSNET

67’s Toffoli leads all OHL scorers in goals and points this season

TORONTO (February 3, 2011) – The Ontario Hockey League’s leading scorer Tyler Toffoli and the Ottawa 67’s host the Peterborough Petes on Friday, February 4 at 7 p.m. (ET) on Rogers Sportsnet Ontario.

Rob Faulds provides the play-by-play from the Rona Arena while Sam Cosentino handles the analysis.

Toffoli, a second round pick by the Los Angeles Kings at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, currently leads the OHL with 83 points including 43 goals in 48 games. The Scarborough, Ontario native scored 79 points in 65 games last season. The 67’s sit first in the East Division. Ottawa forward Cody Lindsay was named the Canadian Hockey League’s Player of the Week on Wednesday after scoring six goals in two games with a plus-minus rating of plus-six.

The Petes are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors last weekend. Peterborough forward Matt Puempel leads the club with 59 points and is projected to go in the first round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft after being slotted 29th in the mid-term rankings by NHL Central Scouting.
