MAPLE LEAFS AND CANADIENS RENEW ORIGINAL SIX RIVALRY ON SPORTSNET THIS THURSDAY
Leafs 2-2 vs. Habs this season, game available in high definition
TORONTO (February 23, 2011) – Toronto Maple Leafs continue their push for the playoffs when they visit their historic foe the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday, February 24 at 7 p.m. (ET) on Rogers Sportsnet Ontario.
Hockeycentral Leafs Edition featuring analysts Nick Kypreos and Doug MacLean with host Daren Millard will preview the match-up and provide analysis throughout the broadcast, including the intermissions and immediately following the game.
Joe Bowen has the play-by-play call while former NHL goaltender Greg Millen handles the analysis. Paul Hendrick rounds-out the broadcast crew as the in-game reporter for Molson Canadian Leafs Hockey on Sportsnet Ontario.
Leafs broadcast schedule on Sportsnet Ontario features more games than any other broadcaster, including 29-regular season match-ups, all available in high-definition.
Leafs are just six points behind the Carolina Hurricanes for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Toronto goaltender James Reimer continues to improve on his stellar rookie season sporting a 9-4-2 record and a .934 save percentage with two shutouts.
Montreal holds a 19-7-6 record at home this season. Habs won their last game against Toronto 3-0 earlier this month with netminder Carey Price in net. Price has already set a personal best for shutouts in a season with six this year.
