CHRISTIAN THOMAS LEADS THE GENERALS INTO BATTLE WITH THE 67’S IN OHL ACTION THIS FRIDAY

Sportsnet has two CHL games including Peterborough vs. Oshawa on Sunday

TORONTO (March 17, 2011) – The Canadian Hockey League’s No.1 goal scorer Christian Thomas and the Oshawa Generals face off against the Ottawa 67’s in Ontario Hockey League action on Friday, March 18 at 7 p.m. (ET) on Rogers Sportsnet Ontario.

Dan Dunleavy provides the play-by-play from the Rona Centre in Ottawa while Sam Cosentino handles the analysis.

In addition, Sportsnet will also present the Generals hosting the Peterborough Petes on Sunday, March 20 at 7 p.m. (ET)/4 p.m. (PT) on the Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels. RJ Broadhead calls the action while Cosentino handles the analysis. ** Please note, Sportsnet West will broadcast the game on tape delay at 11 p.m. (MT).

Thomas leads the CHL with 54 goals in 63 games. The Toronto, Ontario native is the son of former NHLer Steve Thomas and was taken 40th-overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers. Oshawa has won their past four games and sit second in the East Division with 86 points, three points back of the first-place 67’s. Ottawa forward Tyler Toffoli is two goals behind Thomas in league scoring with 52. Toffoli leads the club with 101 points.
