CANUCKS HIT HIGHEST AUDIENCE THIS SEASON WITH 622,000 VIEWERS ON SPORTSNET LAST WEEK

Sportsnet Pacific audience was up 35 per cent from last year’s average

TORONTO (March 21, 2011) – Rogers Sportsnet Pacific attracted its highest Vancouver Canucks audience this season as 622,000 viewers (2+) tuned in Friday, March 18.

Friday night’s audience for the Vancouver Canucks and Phoenix Coyotes game, according to BBM Canada's overnight preliminary data, was 35 per cent above last season’s average of 403,000 viewers on Sportsnet Pacific.

The 622,000 viewers was also just below the Canucks all-time audience on Sportsnet Pacific of 625,000 (2+), who watched Vancouver win 4-3 over the Dallas Stars on October 11, 2009.

Despite a 3-1 loss to the Coyotes last week, the Canucks still have the best record in the NHL.
