SPORTSNET PRESENTS MISSISSAUGA AND OWEN SOUND IN GAME 2 OF THE ROGERS OHL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES THIS THURSDAY

Sportsnet will also broadcast Game 4 of the series this Sunday

TORONTO (May 4, 2011) – The Ontario Hockey League’s playoffs continue as the Owen Sound Attack host the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors in Game 2 of the Rogers OHL Championship Series on Thursday, May 5 at 7 p.m. (ET)/4 p.m. (PT) on the Rogers Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels.

Peter Loubardias provides the play-by-play from the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound while Sam Cosentino handles the analysis.

In addition, Sportsnet will also present Game 4 of the series on Sunday, May 8 at 4:30 p.m. (ET)/1:30 p.m. (PT) on the Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels.

The Majors struck first in the OHL Final with a 5-2 win over the Attack. Mississauga captain Casey Cizikas had a three-point night with a goal and two helpers, while winger Devante Smith-Pelly scored twice and leads the club with nine goals in the post-season. Mississauga is the host city for the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup from May 20-29, with all games featured on Sportsnet in HD.

Owen Sound’s Robby Mignardi potted a pair of goals in the loss and leads the team in playoff scoring with 11 goals. On Monday, Attack forward Garrett Wilson was named the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending April 24 after scoring three goals and four assists for seven points in three games.
