ROGERS SPORTSNET CHARITY BROADCAST AUCTION PRESENTED BY TD CANADA TRUST IS SET FOR THIS MONDAY
Sportsnet presents Charity Broadcast Auction for third straight year
TORONTO (May 5, 2011) – The Rogers Sportsnet Charity Broadcast Auction presented by TD Canada Trust, in support of Jays Care Foundation, will take place on Monday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. (ET)/3:30 p.m. (PT) when the Toronto Blue Jays close out their series against the Detroit Tigers on the Rogers Sportsnet East, Ontario, West, and Pacific channels.
Rogers Sportsnet is the official media partner of the Jays Care Foundation.
Sportsnet Connected anchor Evanka Osmak will be live at Rogers Centre for the auction during the early edition of Connected at 6:30 p.m. (ET) /3:30 p.m. (PT), and throughout the game, informing viewers on the status of all the bids. Bidding will end 10 minutes after the conclusion of the 7th-inning.
Bidders can choose from a variety of prizing including:
· A hitting lesson with 2010 home run king Jose Bautista
· A trip to Boston from July 4-6 to see the Jays take on the Red Sox with roundtrip airfare courtesy of Air Canada Kids’ Horizons, hotel accommodations at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, two (2) personalized Blue Jays jerseys, batting practice for two (2) at one of the games during the series and a tour of Fenway Park
· A Meat & Greet with a Blue Jays player at Morton’s Steakhouse, including a year's supply of steaks from DJSteaks.com
· Spring Training Round Trip to Dunedin, Florida to watch the Blue Jays train for the 2012 season. Prize includes roundtrip airfare courtesy of Air Canada Kids’ Horizons, four (4) nights stay at Innisbrook Golf & Spa Resort, a round of golf at one of Innisbrook’s championship courses, a pair of tickets to two (2) Spring Training games of your choice and a tour of the Blue Jays Spring Training facility
