CANUCKS CONNECTED STANLEY CUP EDITION PREVIEWS THE CUP FINAL THIS TUESDAY

TORONTO (May 30, 2011) – Rogers Sportsnet will cover every step of the Vancouver Canucks’ 2011 Stanley Cup run starting with the Canucks Connected Stanley Cup Edition Preview Show on Tuesday, May 31 at 11 p.m. (ET)/8 p.m. (PT) on the Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels.
Sportsnet’s Canucks playoff coverage will present a one-hour Stanley Cup Final preview featuring Hockeycentral analysts Nick Kypreos, Doug MacLean, John Garrett and Gary Valk with hosts Don Taylor and Daren Millard. The panel will offer an in-depth look at the series between the Canucks and Boston Bruins, including the key elements for Vancouver to win their first Cup in franchise history.
Canucks Connected Stanley Cup Edition will offer both a one-hour pre-game and one-hour post-game show for every Stanley Cup Final game night starting on Wednesday, June 1 at 4 p.m. (PT) on Sportsnet Pacific.
Taylor, Garrett and Valk will be stationed live on the new Sportsnet set outside Rogers Arena for Game 1 and Game 2 with contributions from Kypreos, MacLean and Millard.
Kypreos, MacLean and Millard will be stationed at TD Garden in Boston for Game 3 and Game 4 while Taylor, Garrett and Valk will appear from Vancouver. Sportsnet Connected reporters Dan Murphy and Ian Mendes will bring viewers all the news, interviews and highlights from the Stanley Cup Final. Connected’s Craig MacEwen, Gene Principe and Louis Jean will also report during the Finals.
In addition, sportsnet.ca columnists Mark Spector and Mike Brophy have each posted a preview for the Stanley Cup Final. Spector will be on the road to follow the series and will file a preview and post-game story during every game night. Spector will also host live off-day chats on sportsnet.ca while the website will conduct live chats during each game.
Sportsnet’s Pacific panel of Taylor, Garrett and Valk including Hockeycentral’s Kypreos, MacLean, Millard and Connected’s Murphy, MacEwen, Mendes, Principe and Jean will present the most comprehensive coverage of Vancouver’s road to the Stanley Cup with Canucks Connected Stanley Cup Edition.
