WHITECAPS IN CALI TO MEET CHIVAS USA ON SPORTSNET ONE

Sportsnet has three Whitecaps MLS matches this month

VANCOUVER (May 31, 2011) – Major League Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps FC head to sunny California to face Chivas USA on Wednesday, June 1 at 10:30 p.m. (ET)/7:30 p.m. (PT) on Rogers Sportsnet ONE.

Craig MacEwen calls the play-by-play from the Home Depot Centre in Carson, California while former Whitecap Martin Nash handles the analysis.

The Whitecaps are featured three times in MLS games on Sportsnet in the month of June, including a road match against Real Salt Lake on Saturday, June 4 at 7 p.m. (PT) on City-TV Vancouver, and at home to Philadelphia Union on Saturday, June 18 at 7 p.m. (PT) on Sportsnet Pacific.

Sportsnet will produce 21 Whitecap matches this season, more than another other Canadian broadcaster. All games will be featured in high definition.
