JAYS CELEBRATE HALLADAY WEEKEND AGAINST THE PHILLIES STARTING THIS FRIDAY

Sportsnet has 26 Jays games in July, all in high definition

TORONTO (June 29, 2011) – Jose Bautista and the Toronto Blue Jays host Roy Halladay’s Canadian homecoming with the league-best Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday, July 2 at 12:30 p.m. (ET)/9:30 a.m. (PT) on the Rogers Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels.

Sportsnet will also feature the opener of the Toronto-Philadelphia inter-league series on Canada Day with Jays ace Ricky Romero taking the mound on Friday, July 1 at 12:30 p.m. (ET)/9:30 a.m. (PT). Jays will close out the series on Sunday, July 3 at 12:30 p.m. (ET)/9:30 a.m. (PT) on the Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific channels.

Jays Connected will preview each game with host Jamie Campbell and MLB analyst Gregg Zaun.

Buck Martinez calls the action on Jays on Rogers Sportsnet, while Pat Tabler handles the analysis.

Halladay will make his first appearance in Toronto since being traded to the Phillies on December 15, 2009 for Kyle Drabek, Travis D’Arnaud and Michael Taylor. The seven-time all-star is coming off his National League-leading fifth complete game in a 3-1 win over the Oakland Athletics last Sunday. Halladay will take the hill this Saturday against Bautista, whose 24 homers is tied with New York Yankees’ Mark Teixeira for tops in the majors.

Highlights of the Jays on Rogers Sportsnet broadcast schedule in July include:

· Jays drop in on league RBI-leader Adrian Gonzalez and the Boston Red Sox on July 4-6

· Bronx Bombers come to town when the New York Yankees open a four-game series against the Jays at Rogers Centre on July 14-17

· Jays welcome Ichiro Suzuki and the Seattle Mariners on July 19-21

· Jays face the Texas Rangers six times in July starting at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington on July 22-24 and at Rogers Centre on July 29-31
