ROGERS SPORTSNET HEADS TO COOPERSTOWN FOR ROBERTO ALOMAR’S INDUCTION INTO BASEBALL’S HALL OF FAME,THIS SUNDAY

Jamie Campbell, Gregg Zaun and Shi Davidi will be on location for induction ceremony and festivities

TORONTO (July 21, 2011) – Rogers Sportsnet gives viewers a front row ticket to Roberto Alomar’s induction into Baseball’s Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York on Sunday, July 24 at 1:00 p.m. (ET)/10:00 a.m. (PT) on Sportsnet East, Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet West and Sportsnet Pacific.

The three-hour broadcast includes a 30-minute pre and post-ceremony hosted by Jamie Campbell with MLB analyst Gregg Zaun.   Zaun will sit down with Alomar to talk about what it means to be the first player to enter the Hall of Fame as a Blue Jay.  Other highlights include a video essay by Stephen Brunt, and features on the other two Hall of Fame inductees, former Jays GM Pat Gillick and pitcher Bert Blyleven. As well, sportsnet.ca insider Shi Davidi and Sportsnet Connected reporter Arash Madani will be on hand with interviews and analysis.

Campbell, Zaun and Davidi will also be filing reports from Cooperstown for Sportsnet Connected and Jays Connected throughout the weekend.

The Blue Jays finish up their three-game series against the Texas Rangers on Sunday, July 24 at 7:30 p.m. (ET)/4:30 p.m. (PT) on Sportsnet East, Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet West and Sportsnet Pacific.
