SPORTSNET ONE RECORDS BIGGEST AUDIENCE EVER

– Last night’s Sportsnet ONE audience up 34 per cent compared to previous best –

TORONTO (August 11, 2011) – Rogers Sportsnet ONE scored its biggest audience ever last night when an average of 557,000 (2+)* viewers tuned in to watch the Toronto Blue Jays 7-4 victory over the Oakland A’s. Audience levels peaked at 826,000* during the eighth inning.

The 557,000 audience was a 34 per cent increase over the previous high of 414,000 on Sportsnet ONE when the Blue Jays hosted the Chicago White Sox on May, 26, 2011.

Sportsnet ONE launched on August 14, 2010.

Former Blue Jay Vernon Wells will return to Toronto for the first time since his trade to California when the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim visit Rogers Centre on Friday, August 12 at 6:30 p.m. (ET)/3:30 p.m. (PT) on Sportsnet ONE.
